The Bottaccio Group was established 40 years ago, when the D’Anna Family purchased an 18th century mill, nestled at the foot of the lush green slopes of Forte dei Marmi, in Tuscany, and converted into an elegant 5-star Relais & Chateaux hotel, and internationally renowned restaurant. After having been awarded the highest industry honours, including ‘5 Red Forks and Spoons’ and a ‘Michelin Star’, for the impeccable level of craftsmanship and passion displayed in its activity, the D’Anna family expanded its operations to some of Italy’s most significant palaces.

These include the 17th Century Napoleon’s Villa Del Ferlaro in Parma, the Palazzo Vivante Largo Papa GivanniXXIII° in Trieste, the Palazzo Valmarana Braga in Vicenza, Palazzo Venini in Milan, Palazzo Piossacco di Rivalba in Turin, Villa Borbone delle Pianore in Lucca, Palazzo delle Rovere in Genoa,Palazzo Rosselli del Turco in Florence, and Palazzo San Vitale in Rome.

At the turn of the century Bottaccio entered the global stage with the purchase of a 18th Century Grade 1 listed palace 8-9 Grosvenor Place in Belgravia London – and with the establishment of several events offices in New York, Madrid and Istanbul. The next 20 years, marked for the Group a constant growth, with events organised at renowned locations like the iconic Empire State Building and Cipriani Wall Street in New York, the prestigious Royal Exchange, 16th Century Great Barts Hall, and 16th Century Dutch Hall in London, the Reina Sofia National Museum and the Santoña Palace in Madrid, alongside boutique venues in Istanbul and Paris.

Today Bottaccio is recognised as one of the most exclusive and prestigious hospitality companies in the world, counting amongst its Clients esteemed names such as Armani, Gucci, Sony, Apple, Chanel, HSBC, BMW, Aston Martin, Formula 1, Chelsea Football Club, as well as the British Royal Family, the President of the United States.

The Town Hall has proudly partnered with Tom Dixon and the Design Research Studio for the venue’s interiors. This exciting collaboration brings forth a sophisticated and thoughtful architectural design, seamlessly balancing British heritage with an international perspective. The aim of the design team was to establish a new standard for venue typology, leaving a lasting impact on the King’s Cross locality and establishing the Town Hall as a global destination.

Founder and eponymous Creative Director Tom Dixon is a restless innovator who rose to prominence in the mid-1980s as a maverick, untrained designer with a line in welded salvage furniture. Awarded ‘Designer of The Year’ in 2014 at Maison & Objet, Paris, Tom is today considered one of the industry’s most feted British designers.

Founded in 2007 and helmed by Helene Bangsbo Andersen, the Design Research Studio is the design and innovation agency driving Tom Dixon’s creative endeavors.
